We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Recruiter to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for spearheading recruitment efforts and ensuring the seamless onboarding of new talent. I. THE CORE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE RECRUITER ARE OVERSEEING EMPLOYEE HIRING AND ONBOARDING

Hiring

  • Develop and administer a comprehensive recruiting plan with guidance from the Vice President of Operations
  • Utilize diverse recruitment techniques including yard signs, flyers, job fairs, etc.
  • Assist in posting job advertisements and manage the company’s advertising accounts, ensuring to stay within monthly advertising budget
  • Respond to all job inquiries promptly.
  • Create and update job descriptions as needed
  • Screen candidates and check references
  • Conduct a set amount of interviews each week
  • Hire candidates at a pace that meets the company’s demand
  • Gather analytics of hiring trends
  • Collaborate on creating a retention plan for newly hired employees

Onboarding

  • Assist with developing a successful onboarding for incoming employees
  • Assemble onboarding packets for newly hired employees
  • Consult with the company Trainer and the Co-Employer to provide a successful onboarding experience for new-hires
  • Plan with the Program Supervisors and the Company Trainer placements for new hires
  • Assist with new employee background checks

II. EXPECTATIONS OF the Recruiter

  • Physical Demands
    • Requires basic office work, including sitting, walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, bending and operating office equipment that is hand operated
    • Driving required – must have valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations; proof of automobile liability insurance when driving personal vehicle
  • Confidentiality of Information
    • Maintain confidentiality of Tavros Care information regarding individuals including staff, residents, resident family members/natural supports, guardians, and situations.
  • Schedule
    • This is a salaried position, where the hours worked are flexible based on a 40-hour work week, but must be able to be adjusted dependent on the needs of the agency and emergent situations.

III. QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma. Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Current Oregon Driver’s License
  • DHS Fingerprint and Background Check compliance
  • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Can demonstrate that you are a creative problem solver and have good listening skills
  • Must not have any founded allegations of abuse of a resident/child, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and service-oriented attitude.

IV. PAID TIME OFF AND VACATIONS

Policy

  • All state and federal holidays are observed as days off for our team members. Additionally, employees accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) starting at 80 hours per year, which becomes available after the probationary period.

V. PROBATIONARY PERIOD

All new employee hires are put on a probationary period. The probationary period will be for the duration of the employee’s first 90 days of employment. It is intended to be a trial period during which the employee is being evaluated as a suitable fit to the position and the company. A new employee will be given consistent feedback and coaching to have the chance to learn their new job and improve during the probationary period. At the end of the probationary period (or possibly before that), the supervisor will determine if the employee should be retained in the organization. This decision will be made by appraising the following criteria:

  • The skills, competencies and knowledge of the employee on the job
  • The employee’s progress on given assignments
  • The employee’s reliability, trustworthiness, and alignment with the company's values and culture
  • The employee’s relation and collaboration with subordinates, supervisors and peers

The above-mentioned criteria will be assessed with quantitative measures, if applicable. Progress will be documented whenever possible, and the decision to retain an employee will be at the supervisor’s discretion.
