MAJOR FUNCTION: Provide professional nursing care through the nursing process. Meet the needs of the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team through communication, coordination, and evaluation. Comply with all policies and procedures; nursing standards of practice and regulatory bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure in the State of New Jersey as required by law. You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred
*Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:
Hired on or before June 1, 2013 - IMC
Hired on or before August 4, 2015 - IMCW
B. Experience: Previous experience required
One-year clinical experience in specialty area required for per diem positions, two years preferred
C. Certification/Licensure: Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing as required by law
American Heart Association BLS required
American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Dysrhythmia course required within 3 months of hire
National Certification in area of specialty preferred
