Ivybrook Academy is Hiring a Preschool Educator (24'-25' school year) Near Salem, NC

Ivybrook Academy is currently seeking passionate preschool educators for the 2024-2025 school year that starts in August 2024. Our schools provide a professional environment where educators can focus their time on igniting the joy of learning in their students. We are seeking passionate educators committed to progressive quality education.

Benefits:

  • Paid Holidays (approximately 4 weeks annually)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build genuine relationships with each child
  • Plan and implement daily lessons for the children following a progressive approach to education
  • Observe and evaluate each child’s progress
  • Maintain portfolio assessments for all children in the classroom
  • Draw on each child’s unique strengths to help them learn about the world around them.
  • Work cooperatively and professionally with staff members and parents
  • Support each child’s developmental needs, including toilet training
  • Ensures the safety and well-being of all students
  • Responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment for the children
  • Maintain communication with parents
  • Be available for parent conferences
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings and school functions
  • Commit to continuing education

Job Requirements

Priority given to those with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or have their education degree within the first year of employment. Previous experience at a public, private or licensed school preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 23 per week
