Maximo Presbyterian Church is hiring a part-time Sexton / Maintenance person

Maximo Presbyterian Church is an inclusive, safe, and affirming community of believers seeking to share the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 25 hours per week reporting directly to the Pastor while working cooperatively with other church leaders, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Sexton is responsible for the safety, security, care, cleaning, maintenance and repair of all buildings, equipment and grounds of the 5 acre campus. Other duties may include assisting with special events such as weddings, memorial, and internment services. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

It is required that the candidate have a high school diploma or GED with one to three years related experience. The candidate should be a self-starter and be familiar with plumbing, electrical, general lawn maintenance, commercial lawn equipment, purchasing, and be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a background check resulting in a positive report.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
