We are seeking an energetic and friendly person to join our busy surgical subspecialty practice. An ideal applicant must be reliable, punctual, and able to multitask. Medical billing and coding experience as well as eclinical EMR is required.

Full time Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 and/or ICD-9 coding systems
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation or clarification
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines

-Posting insurance and patient payments

-Answering phones

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, and billing processes
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and/or ICD-9 coding systems
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
