St Petersburg Skin and Laser is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Saint Petersburg, FL

We are looking for a friendly and energetic medical assistant to join our staff. Preferably someone with experience in Dermatology or aesthetics. The Medical Assistant will help the doctor with setting up for procedures, assisting in procedures and cleaning patient rooms. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care

- Prepare trays for skin surgery, laser surgery, botox and filler

- Assist in surgeries and injectable procedures

Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation

Occasional exposure to certain hazardous chemicals and biological specimens is also expected, however the practice maintains strict protocols, employee training, and limits exposure to these agents in every way possible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
