Golf Course Groundskeeper

Under the direction of the Golf Course Assistant and Superintendent, a GC Groundskeeper in a seasonal position is responsible for maintenance of the golf course. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below and in spirit of the Club’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cuts grass on tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens.
• Hand-rake sand bunkers and remove any debris or hazardous materials from the course.
• Uses equipment such as waking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, push mowers, utility carts and a both powered and non-powered hand tools.
• Assist in course set up for daily play and tournaments by coordinating efforts with the golf course management teams.
• Assist in special construction projects as required.
• Assists in daily upkeep of property both on and off the course.
• Performs other required tasks and duties as required.
• Ensure proper care in the use of maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Work Environment – Physical Demand

• Works with heavy equipment such as mowers, rollers, and golf carts
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• May be required to lift or push heavy objects on a regular and continuing basis.
• Involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Present a positive, professional image.

Position Requirements

Ability to understand and receive instruction from supervisor on daily basis. Each employee is expected to work cooperatively with others in a team environment. Maintenance staff will be required to work both weekdays and weekends including holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
