We are in search of a Physical Education and Health Teacher to join our team of passionate Catholic educators. The successful candidate will be a dynamic teacher with a desire to nurture the hearts, souls, minds and bodies of students. They will have strong communication skills and have the ability to build relationships with students, parents and staff. They will be able to deliver and plan engaging lessons that are developmentally appropriate for a variety of ages and abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement physical education lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Instruct students on various physical activities, sports, and exercises
- Monitor and assess students' progress in physical education
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in the gymnasium and outdoor spaces
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education with other subjects
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field from an accredited university
- State teaching certification in Physical Education
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and health principles
