Job Description

Job Description
The Teacher Assistant-Youth Care Specialist (TA-YCS) supports the teacher with supervision, grading, planning, and other classroom activities. Additionally, they provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients in the cottage and contribute to a positive group living experience.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday (following a school year calendar)
  • 8:00AM start time, 3:00PM end time (8-hours)

Compensation:

  • $15-17 an hour, dependent on education and experience

Teacher Assistants - Entry Level/High School Diploma or Equivalent

Teacher Assistants/Paraprofessionals - with 60 Credit Hours

  • We prioritize internal promotion. With 60 credit hours, KVC Missouri supports your advancement by covering the cost of your Substitute Certificate, paving the way to a Teacher I position.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old to apply
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid auto insurance
