We are seeking to add a Full-Time Optician to our team here at Olson Optical. Our opticians work directly with patients to provide their eyewear needs by assisting with frame selection, fitting and dispensing glasses. We would welcome someone who enjoys meeting new patients, is able to exhibit care and compassion, is prompt and reliable, has good phone and computer skills and is able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Experience in an optical or medical setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, frames and lens coatings based on customers'
needs and prescriptions
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of optical concepts, lens options and frame styles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to take direction
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
of all ages

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
