LPN Job Description

Reports to: Nurse Supervisor

We are looking for a reliable, team-oriented, patient-focused LPN to work with and support our nursing team in primary care and functional medicine through a wide variety of tasks including answering nurse group phone calls, blood draws, rooming patients. We have a great team and want someone with a great attitude to be a part of it!
I. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the nursing team and patient care delivery by: taking nurse phone calls; supporting nurse visits; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; drawing blood; rooming patients and other duties as needed. Simplicity Health values personal patient care, easy access, timely response and ongoing support of our patients. Position requires excellent customer service skills with patients, their families, other staff, physicians, vendors, and the public. All LPN’s will follow the State of Minnesota requirements for care.
