We are looking for a reliable, team-oriented, patient-focused LPN to work with and support our nursing team in primary care and functional medicine through a wide variety of tasks including answering nurse group phone calls, blood draws, rooming patients. I. Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the nursing team and patient care delivery by: taking nurse phone calls; supporting nurse visits; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; drawing blood; rooming patients and other duties as needed. Position requires excellent customer service skills with patients, their families, other staff, physicians, vendors, and the public. All LPN’s will follow the State of Minnesota requirements for care.

II. Accountabilities: Lists the major functions of this job.

• Fields patient telephone calls and triages according to Simplicity Health guidelines and service standards.
• May assist physicians with patient office visits, including putting patients in rooms, interviewing patients, recording vital signs based on office visit needs and enters information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Performs select clinical tests including, but not limited to; point of care laboratory tests and phlebotomy. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
• May organizes exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep, and re-stocking of supplies.
• Is familiar with various templates and documentation techniques available in the EPIC system, and use these tools efficiently so individual encounters can be well documented.
• Helps maintain Simplicity Health Quality Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Current State of Minnesota LPN license required
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail required
• Shows initiative and work well in a team environment as well as can work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,840.00 - $49,920.00 per year
