Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) is Hiring a Director of Community Relations Near Saint Albans, VT

Are you passionate about fostering community engagement and enhancing organizational presence? Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) is seeking a dynamic Director of Community Relations to lead our efforts in communicating our mission, programs, and achievements to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to inform the public about NCSS programs, services, and accomplishments.
  • Coordinate public relations initiatives aligned with the agency’s goals and policies.
  • Cultivate and maintain NCSS’s brand image through effective advertising campaigns.
  • Prepare and disseminate informative materials to media outlets, including press releases, photos, and videos.
  • Serve as the face of NCSS at community events and gatherings, promoting our mission and fostering partnerships.
  • Research, ideate, and produce compelling content across various media channels to engage the public.
  • Oversee relationships with media outlets to ensure accurate representation of NCSS initiatives.
  • Develop and implement television shows, on-air promotions, and multimedia presentations showcasing NCSS services.
  • Create and distribute agency newsletters to keep community partners informed.
  • Plan and execute agency events to engage the community and other groups who hold an interest in our work.
  • Manage NCSS website and social media platforms to amplify our online presence.
  • Strategize and oversee marketing events that align with NCSS's mission and values.
  • Engage in relevant agency, community, and state committees to further our mission.
  • Design and produce marketing materials to promote NCSS services and initiatives.
  • Establish and manage a group of freelance writers to produce in-depth articles about NCSS programs.
  • Develop and maintain a database of fundraising contributors and prospects.
  • Support Executive Director to manage Board membership and term limits.
  • Coordinate agency activities with our state partners, to ensure that our local Legislature Representatives are informed about issues pertinent to their legislative agenda, and our agency priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Proven experience in community relations, public relations, or similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in multimedia production and digital marketing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
