This role will supervise and coordinate mechanical services for the designated operational area as well as plan and provide assistance to effectively lead preventative maintenance programs. What You Will Do: Ownership and oversight of Mechanically related maintenance or repairs to the pipeline system(s). Provide leadership in safety, Maintenance Reliability Program (MRP), Work Execution Management (WEM) and efficiencies to the Mechanical Services team. Ensure all required regulations are being met in a safe and timely manner. Provide guidance and support to ensure successful completion of all projects. Provide support to all other working groups within the Region as required. Coordinate all aspects of appropriate Cost Center. Ensure the mechanical integrity of the pipeline system to improve the throughput and minimize down time. Assures that the DOT requirements and Operator Qualifications (OQ’s) are completed on time with adequate records. Provide direction and information to various mechanical equipment suppliers, vendors or contractors, including recommendations to ensure safe operation of pipeline system. Support and align with company safety standards and procedures. Maintain necessary on call posture to optimally handle and respond to trouble reports and other maintenance difficulties or emergencies. Ensure mechanical drawings/packages are routinely/periodically updated and associated record keeping and drawings are accurate. Provide effective emergency response capabilities and assistance as the need arises. Assist in the design development and implementation of mechanical equipment and participate in project design reviews. Meet all required metrics identified within the Region which include safety and personal development goals. Meet 100% of required training and regional/Area objectives. Provide Manager On-Call duties as the need arises. Who You Are: Related university degree and seven-plus years’ experience OR nine‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience. Proven track record to perform associated tasks and familiarity with commonly used equipment and related maintenance practice. A detailed understanding of and disciplined adherence to Company safety standards, company policies, and operation and maintenance procedures. Electrical and Instrumentation aptitude and administrative ability. Ability to work independently, self motivated, and has effective leadership and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems preferred. Work Conditions: Office environment with occasional travel to other locations. Terminal and pipeline facility environment during supervision of work. Emergency On-Call alcohol and drug free. Available for emergency call 24 hours a day. Overnight travel of 10-25 days per year required. Maintaining or re-establishing throughput sometimes requires working in extreme cold (-35 F) and extreme heat (100 F). Work often required in high noise level areas and areas where vapors from crude oil and solvents may be present.
