Atwell is Hiring an Environmental Technician Near South Bend, IN

The Environmental Technician is a developmental position that supports the project team by conducting environmental evaluations, assisting in the production of environmental related reports, and performing other tasks related to the position. In this role, an employee will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency in regards to the essential functions of the job found below.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct field surveys for clients.
  • Oversee environmental activities as it relates to site activity.

  • Assist in permitting compliance.
  • Assist in assembling field supplies and obtain sampling containers and related equipment.
  • Assist in conducting field work by collecting samples and field measurements in accordance with project scope of work.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly reporting to various agencies.
  • Help maintain a safe work environment by complying with Atwell and/or site-specific Health and Safety Plans.
  • Communicate with Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status in order to meet designated chargeability goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors of Science preferred but not required 
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required
