Position Overview: As a Tax Specialist at AmeriVet Veterinary Partners, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with state tax regulations, overseeing amendments, and facilitating quarter close adjustments. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our payroll department as needed. Key Responsibilities: Serve as an expert in state ID setup, ensuring compliance with state tax requirements and regulations. Demonstrate proficiency in handling tax amendments, executing necessary changes accurately and efficiently. Act as a quarter close adjustment expert, reconciling financial data and ensuring accuracy in tax reporting. Collaborate with the payroll department to provide support as needed, assisting in tax-related inquiries and resolving discrepancies. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance and minimize risks. Provide guidance and training to team members on tax-related matters to enhance overall understanding and proficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance Proven experience working in tax compliance, with a focus on state tax regulations and requirements. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Office Suite.
