As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the business development efforts of the Sales team. This position will be responsible for collecting pertinent information, communicating with clients, staff, and insurance companies, and providing superior customer service. In accordance with established sales policies and procedures, you will need to explain and re-sell MIG’s core services and benefits in pursuit of the Company’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the intermediary between the Sales Team and Underwriters to ensure optimal coverage is obtained at the most competitive rates.
  • Support the Sales Team by generating submissions, conducting market research to obtain rates from multiple insurance providers, collecting documentation, and communicating directly with Underwriters for a streamlined quoting process.
  • Conduct a thorough evaluation of accounts for the marketplace while collaborating with insurance and finance companies to develop a comprehensive insurance solution tailored to the unique needs of prospective MIG clients.
  • Acquire in-depth market knowledge to gain proficiency in individual insurance guidelines, ensuring that prospective MIG clients are appropriately matched with insurance companies.
  • Facilitate communication with other branch locations to ensure the process is completed in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical and confidentiality standards in all interactions.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to convey risk characteristics accurately to Underwriters.
  • Exhibit a high degree of attention to detail to ensure precision in all insurance documentation and task management.
  • Display superior organizational skills to guarantee accurate and up-to-date representation of information in agency management systems.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Possess proficiency in MS Office skills and related computer knowledge.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus but not required.
