This posting is in one of our rural stations on 24-hour shifts in blocks of 2 shifts (48 hours at a time) in Eastern Kern County – stations include Rosamond, California City, Mojave, and Boron. We also have 12-hour shift availability in Metro Bakersfield.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Respond to medical emergencies in the community. Assess illnesses and injuries and administer basic to advanced emergency rescue and paramedical care. Provide medical treatment to the ill and injured and manage the illness or injury during transport. Prepare patients for transport via ambulance to hospital. Guide and support EMT’s in the application of appropriate EMS techniques. Operate emergency vehicle and equipment to care and transport the patient effectively. Complete patient records and transfer of information to healthcare provider. Provide compassionate patient care.
