Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our asphalt and aggregate products through rigorous testing and inspection processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine testing and inspection of asphalt and aggregate materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Collect samples from production batches and field sites for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform various laboratory tests, including but not limited to, gradation analysis, moisture content, density, and asphalt binder content.
  • Document and report test results, identifying any deviations from specifications and recommending corrective actions.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all quality control activities.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within the asphalt and aggregate industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and testing procedures for asphalt and aggregate materials.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory testing equipment and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
