Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our midnight shift team at our facility located in Romulus, MI, 48188. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, with 5 - 8 years manufacturing supervisory experience, with fimiliarity in plastic extrusion and machine operations. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading a team of production workers to success.
Responsibilities- Carry out instructions and schedule, delegate, and monitor work performed by production employees.
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Make employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Supervise and train production personnel in the set up and safe use of all production equipment, or assign to a qualified trainer in the department.
- Ensure the lean organization and flow of the production department and production work cells utilizing time studies and 5S principles.
- Monitor and improve product quality on the production floor.
- Ensure proper work instructions are being followed and accurate set up of both old and new production projects are occurring.
- Troubleshoot and assist production personnel in the Conventional Extrusion Process.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
