Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Location: Rome, New York
Shift: 12-hour nights
Contract: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $60/hr.-$68/hr. on W2
Job requirements:
Job Duties:
- Provide nursing care to surgical and bariatric patients, under supervision, in a physician’s office
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative, and post-discharge care to surgical and bariatric patients, per physician’s orders
- Assist in wound care, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and other duties as assigned by physician
- Provide effective communication to physician regarding patient status, problems, and concerns
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of physician’s orders, medications, and equipment
- Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies
- Maintain all patient records according to physician’s requirements
- Assist with phlebotomy and related duties
- Understand and enforce all appropriate safety policies and procedures
- Report all safety concerns to the manager or supervisor
- Assist in gathering, compiling, and analyzing statistical data on patient satisfaction
