JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Engineer

REPORTS TO: Logistics Director

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for coordinating company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Meet the Management Plan $ sales, unit sales, profit objectives and logistics costs.

· Perform efficiency projects within warehouses, distribution, and transportation for the company within the region.

· Specify and evaluate warehouse and logistics equipment purchases.

· Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, IT, 3PL and supplier teams.

· Develop manage and monitor metrics for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), vendor performance scorecards and develop business cases to support logistics changes and/or improvements.

· Suggest solutions for process improvements.

· Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner.

· Prepare stock level projections, identify required warehouse capacity in terms of space, pallets, equipment, and people; align with 3PLs to support business growth.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· BA/BS degree required. Preferred in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 2 years experience in US Warehousing and Transportation Industry

· Domestic travel required (25% of time)

· Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Proven experience and track record on project management skills and supervising multiple projects.

· Able to independently research, understand, and present transportation and warehousing metrics.

· Working knowledge of TMS and WMS

· Strong Interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, problem resolution

· Data Analysis - Advanced user of MS Excel

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Lean Six Sigma Certification

· Working knowledge of SAP preferred

· APICS or CSCMP certifications

· 3PL Experience

· Experience with SAP

· Tire or automotive industry experience
