Job Duties

  • Installing, servicing, low-voltage wiring, termination, and repair of security cameras, motion detectors, glass breaks, panic buttons, card readers, mag locks, and E-strikes
  • Designing overlays, interpreting blueprints, designs, drawings, manuals, and project plans
  • Wiring and installation of XR550 panels
  • Installation and programming of NVR’s, surge protectors, POE switches, and UPS
  • Utilize remote monitoring and access controls
  • Utilize NVRs, surge protectors, and POE switches
  • Work with networks devices such as routers, modems, switches, and hubs
  • Installation of IP cameras
  • Run and terminate network cable
  • Work with Team Lead to wire all devices to correct locations
  • Communicates with project manager, team lead and peers to resolve issues, concerns, and answer questions related to the job as required
  • Clearly communicates with project manager and team lead any variation from scope of work and/or assignment
  • Troubleshoot service issues while problem solving collaboratively
  • Other duties as assigned by management staff

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience wiring and installing camera security equipment
  • Knowledge of remote technical support applications for cameras, alarms, and access control systems
  • Ability to design overlays; read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, plans, and job specs
  • Experience wiring and installing an XR550 Panel.
  • Experience with remote video monitoring, remote access control, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and directives and willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by team lead.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work nights/weekends, and to travel in/out of state and overnight on projects
  • Must be able to work a full time, flexible schedule with on call availability (on a rotating basis), and must be able to travel on short notice
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, and above ceilings, etc.
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Use vision abilities including: close up, distance, peripheral, depth, and color
  • Will be required to obtain valid PERC within 30 days of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education or industry standard training equivalent preferred; Certifications with Digital-Watchdog and DMP preferred.
  • Current driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • Compensation based upon experience
