Job Description:
An A-rated property & casualty company is looking for a Senior Statutory Accountant to join their growing team.
This professional will deliver accurate & on-time financial reporting on both a GAAP & Stat basis, assist with quarterly/annual statutory filing submissions, process gross & ceded technical account journals and reconciliations, maintain/reconcile balance sheets & general ledger accounts, and build out and formalize process documentation. This opportunity is direct hire; candidate must be local to Rolling Meadows, IL or Jacksonville, FL.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience within the property & casualty insurance industry
- 2 years of experience assisting with statutory filings
- Must be local to Rolling Meadows, IL or Jacksonville, FL - client prefers candidate to be onsite but is open to hybrid or remote for the right candidate
