Siemens Industry islooking for a Production Planner (Buyer / Planning Specialist) for our Spartanburgmanufacturing facility.

Our growing facility produce high-quality,engineer-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include materialhandling, metal fabrication, painting, final assembly and test.

The position isresponsible to balance supply and demand and coordinate the different functionswithin the manufacturing plant to ensure the completion of the customer orderson time in the most cost effective / productive way to meet our financial targetsas well.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Production Planner , your responsibilities willinclude but will not be limited to the following :

• Coordinate and balancesupply and demand. Evaluating customer requirements and material supply todevelop detailed production plans to achieve a high level of scheduleadherence.
• Works closely withpurchasing, warehouse, shipping and customer service to plan and prioritizeorders to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance,considering resources needed and available, to meet, at the same time, ourfinancial goals.
• Drive and coordinatedaily weekly shipping schedule.
• Analyzes large amount ofdata to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
• Review and work withMaster Data Steward to update and / or fix SAP material master when needed.
• Responsible for meetingdelivery reliability, schedule adherence and cost saving / productivityinitiatives for the site.
• Prepare and publishperformance reports.
• Work closely withdifferent departments to ensure accuracy of information and on time delivery.
• Support purchasing teamas needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-4 years of experiencein production planning or production control with ERP system in manufacturingenvironment.
• BS / BA / BSE in relateddiscipline, or advanced degree.
• Advanced hands onknowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Excellent problem solveskills.
• Organized and selforiented.
• Excellent communicationskills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• APICS Certification is aplus
• Lean Manufacturingexperience is a plus
• Microsoft Access is aplus
