POSITION SUMMARY:

The Billing Specialist is an integral part of a full cycle revenue team that ensures organizational financial health by billing, posting of payments and denial management. You will be providing timely solutions for early intervention cases, screenings, targeted case management and initial interdisciplinary psychosocial and developmental evaluations. You will also be a support for the Billing/Insurance Department Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Bills services to straight Medicaid, managed medical Assistance (MMA) Plans and supports with billing Private Insurance Carriers.

• Obtains early intervention authorization.
• Verifies private insurance and Medicaid eligibility.
• Interprets Medicaid EOB’s.
• Posts Medicaid payments.
• Reworks denials and rejections.
• Generates reports to identify trends using various data systems related to provider billing and payment.
• Supports and initiates quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

• HS/GED or higher degree is required with a minimum of three (3) years data entry.
• Experience working with Private Insurance Carriers, Straight Medicaid, Managed Medical Assistance Plans and Title XXI.
• Experience in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel

Business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Salary: $30,160.00 - $32,240.00 per year
