SUMMARY Responsible for various tax returns on behalf of the Enterprise. Manage fixed assets for tax purposes. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for Enterprise. Maintain proper documentation and research sales and use tax issues as applicable. Prepare and file property tax for the Enterprise. Prepare and file motor fuel tax returns. Prepare and file other miscellaneous taxes. These may include municipal tax, 911 fees, federal excise tax and franchise tax. Maintain the fixed asset account system for tax purposes. Review all entries made by the fixed asset management group relating to tax (federal, state, AMT, ACE, and property tax) on a monthly basis. Assist Tax Manager with compilation of income tax returns for company. Assist with other project work in the department as needed. REQUIREMENTS BS Degree in Accounting 1-2 years of entry level accounting experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word and research on the Internet.
