iWorld Professionals is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Rochester. If you are interested to be a part of innovation of new products and the delivery of excellence, then this position is for you.

Manufacturing Engineer Position Summary:

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in the product development journey, from initial quoting to final shipment. You'll engage directly with customers, ensuring designs are manufacturable, crafting process routes, designing molds, fixtures, and work holding devices, and expertly troubleshooting the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed part quotes for all services provided.
  • Develop comprehensive process routers, including in-process dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Collaborate directly with customer engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
  • Partner with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing to develop detailed processing plans for all company-manufactured components.
  • Investigate equipment and resource needs to support manufacturing operations and align with the company's strategic direction, including equipment, coolant, cutting oils, and tooling.
  • Design all required fixturing, tooling, and work holding devices for manufacturing processes.
  • Provide support across all manufacturing areas, including troubleshooting processes, implementing corrective actions, and participating in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Ensure compliance with First Time Through (FTT) components and compare actual performance to standards.
  • Actively participate in all departmental activities and initiatives.

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to the following areas: CNC Machining, CNC Milling, CNC Lathing.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma and FMEA concepts
  • Experience with CAD: SolidWorks and MasterCAM highly desired.
  • Ability to work on-site in Rochester NY.
