Job DescriptionTraffic Control Technician – Driver - Hiring for RochesterWarning Lites of MN is expanding our team. We are looking to hire highly motivated individuals as Traffic Control Technicians (TCT) Drivers. Whether it is setting up a safe work zone, working in the warehouse, loading/unloading trucks or delivering product throughout the metro, these key employees keep our day to day operations on track.
The Role:As a TCT Driver, your responsibilities will include:
  • Setting up a safe work zone that ensures that traffic does not cause a threat to workers and the general traveling public. This involves setting up signs, barrels, barricades, and other approved traffic control devices that will guide the public through a work zone safely.
  • Takes direction from various road authorities and event planners, as it relates to project work.
  • Work independently or part of a traffic control crew.
  • Operate company vehicles to deliver and remove traffic control devices from jobsites.
  • Performs shop work as required including preparing orders, cleaning and repairing equipment, and general housekeeping.
The Basics:TCT Drivers don’t mind the Minnesota weather and have a high regard for safety and excellent customer service. Successful candidates enjoy the physical demands of the position, are highly self-motivated, detailed, and take initiative to get the job done right while managing multiple tasks at once. We provide on-the-job training for the tasks that the TCT Driver will need to perform but we do require the following:
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (as determined by our insurance company). CDL drivers are encouraged to apply.
  • Able to utilize a GPS device and read a map
  • Ability to work long hours during Spring/Summer/Fall months
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and an occasional holiday
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy objects (70 pounds), walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
  • Must have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Must have working knowledge of English sufficient enough to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information
  • Experience performing manual labor. Traffic control experience a !
Preferred:
  • Driving experience in professional setting
  • Class A or B CDL license
  • 3 years of overall, consistent work experience
We offer:
  • Competitive hourly pay- opportunity to earn $40,000-$80,000 /season yr
  • Opportunity for Prevailing Wage (up to $41.25/hr.). Prevailing Wage jobs earn overtime for working more than 8 hours per day
