Bahama Consulting is Hiring an Ultrasound Sonographer Near Rochester, MN
TITLE: Ultrasound Sonographer
LOCATION: Rochester, MN (Onsite)
STATUS: Full-Time – Contract
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday. 8 hour shifts between 7am and 5pm. No call, no weekends.
PAY: $50.00- $71.00 Per Hour DOQ
This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Overtime paid at 1.5X regular rate of pay)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Autonomously performs complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for patients of all ages under the supervision of qualified physicians for diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease.
- Diagnostic sonographers take the initiative to confirm the imaging orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity.
- Responsible for contacting the ordering physician if an inadequate reason for test is supplied.
- Sonographers utilize advanced knowledge to perform diagnostic procedures (inpatient and outpatient settings including portable and O.R. examinations) by producing assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data.
- Sonographers are required to exercise independent judgment in the interpretation and analysis of exams and provide a preliminary diagnosis of the technical findings to the physician.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have an Associate's degree in a related field and a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program.
- Must be ARDMS registered (or registry eligible) in the areas of abdomen obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) and vascular technology (RVT).
