We are looking for someone with great organizational skills, a passion for animals and the ability to complete hard work without complaint to join our patient care team. This position requires manual labor, the ability to lift 50 lbs., standing on your feet most of the day, as well as experiencing the sights and smells that go along with veterinary care (strong stomachs are a necessity).
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with weighing patients, taking brief histories, assisting the veterinarian with patient restraint, running diagnostic tests, administering treatments, assisting with surgery, giving vaccinations and injections, pulling up vaccines, prepping and cleaning rooms before and after appointments, and filling medications as instructed by the doctor.
The right person for the job should be passionate about helping others, have a can-do attitude about life, and be a go-getter. This is a busy clinic, we hustle most of the day, and we need someone with initiative that is going to get the job done and get it done correctly.
Veterinary medicine can be stressful, physically demanding, and a thankless job at times. However, we have amazing clients that we truly feel are some of the best around and they make every day worth coming to the clinic.
If you are passionate about helping others, working hard, enjoy a challenge, and have a positive outlook on life – apply today! We would love to give you a tour of the clinic and get to know you. Please email a resume and cover letter to welovepets@rochesterpetdoctor.com or stop by the clinic to meet us.
