Job Overview

Our company is looking for someone that has excellent communication skills, is detail oriented and able to multitask in a heavy traffic environment daily. They will work directly with freight brokers and customers in planning and coordinating shipments from pickup to delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Communicating with brokers and customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Track and trace throughout the life of the load.
• Familiarity with DAT and other load boards is critical.
• Maintaining records of shipments and shipment details such as delivery and pickup times in Salesforce CRM is mandatory.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure carriers pass all safety and compliance requirements.
• Provide quotes and negotiate transportation rates.
• Book freight and ensure seamless pickup and delivery.
• Collaborate with operations partners regarding capacity, scheduling, and rates.
• Account creation, set up, and onboarding of new brokers and customers..

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of experience in transportation.
• Exceptional ability to negotiate rates.
• Excellent experience in customer services, as well as generating freight bills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
