Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support and excellent customer service to patients and provider.

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collect and process payments from patients
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist preferred
- Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic health record (EHR) software such as Jane, Excel and other over technology.
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
