Job Purpose:

Facilities and Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the good condition and functionality of the Vision premises, buildings and general property. Perform daily routine inspection. Performs light maintenance, cleaning and repairs.

Major Responsibilities:

1) Performs light vehicle maintenance to Vision standards. This includes, but not limited to: seat repair, mirror adjustment and replacements, light replacements.

2) General grounds maintenance including picking up litter, tending to any landscaping, leaf and debris removal, snow removal, etc.

3) Cleans interiors and exteriors of building to maintain cleanliness of the facility.

4) Cleans interiors and exteriors of buses to maintain cleanliness of the fleet.

5) Maintains a safe, clean, “team” work area.

6) General building and property inspections for possible repair needs (interior and exterior); report findings to management to coordinate repairs.

7) Painting, patching or light carpentry as requested.

8) Undertake activities of pest control, such as spraying insecticide.

9) Drive a bus route as needed.

10) Communicates professionally with customers and supervisors.

11) Complete other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education & Certifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience & Skills Required:

• Valid driver’s license
• CDL

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions (include amount of travel):

• Maintenance Shop environment
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
