About Rio Verde Country Club

Located between the eastern foothills of the McDowell Mountains and the Tonto National Forest, Rio Verde Country Club is a private member-owned 36-hole golf club in Rio Verde, Ariz.

and is managed by Troon Golf.

Experience Required

Qualifications :

• 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Professional preferred.
• The successful candidate must be very visible, easily approachable, pro-active in nature, and possess a strong desire to learn the skills necessary to become a Head Golf Professional.
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
• Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, i.e. email, internet, tournament software and databases.

Requirements : Level 1 PGA Associate registered and in good standing.

Essential Responsibilities

Dates are flexible on either side but Candidate must be available through April 20, 2025.

Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the membership.

Assist the Director of Golf in overseeing the management and performance of all golf shop and applicable department operations and services;

assure high standards and total customer satisfaction.

Assist with management of Outside Operations Staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved

Coordinate tournament operations and weekly events for men’s and women’s programs including planning, pre-tournament operations, post- tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.

Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including : ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales Assist with all opening and closing procedures Conduct individual lessons and group clinics, as applicable Play golf with a variety of Members in competitive and non-competitive situations Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
