Responsibilities

This isn't your typical accounting position! As an Assistant Controller with Coastal Waste & Recycling, you won't just be crunching numbers behind a computer screen. You'll be an integral part of our business operations, sales strategies, customer service initiatives, and much more!

What You'll Do:

• Handle daily transactions with finesse
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and GL accounts like a pro
• Post journal entries with precision
• Provide valuable insight and analysis to support day-to-day and strategic decisions
• Be a true business partner within your district, driving success at every turn

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold an accounting degree
• Possess a strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Excel at Excel (pun intended) with strong Excel skills
• Have prior experience in a similar role, with bonus points for experience in the waste industry
