Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing incoming calls and ensuring a high level of customer service and resolution with minimal transfers.
- Maintain central database of patient information to be used in customer service initiatives.
- Track and trend customer service surveys including post-admission surveys.
- Identify problems and potential problem situations as they become evident and report to the Manager.
- Participate in total quality improvement process for both agency and self.
- Exceptional customer service skills including phone manner and ability to build relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and understanding of home health, hospice, and private duty services.
- Knowledgeable with healthcare electronic medical record software.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel and significant data entry experience in a database software program.
- College degree desired, high school diploma or equivalent accepted with appropriate experience.
- Detail-oriented, ability to work independently, to seek appropriate supervision, to prioritize and handle several responsibilities concurrently. Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate with other departments and demonstrate flexibility.
- Ability and willingness to follow Agency policies and procedures and to work as a team member.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
