For additional information about GEM please visit us online at www.gemtechnologiesinc.com. **To apply for this job, or others, please visit our careers page at http://careers.gemtechnologiesinc.com. Job DescriptionResponsible for providing engineering design for process piping and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects at Y-12 and Pantex.Responsible for preparation of conceptual engineering deliverables such as cost-estimating bills of material and man-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and title II engineering deliverables including preparation of calculations (equipment, valve and pipe sizing) and analyses, construction specifications & drawings, and equipment specifications.Will design systems such as potable water and fire-protection supply systems, gases, acid and caustic fluids, brines, cryogenics, steam and condensate, hot and chilled water systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and vacuum systems.Will perform walkdowns in the existing plant facilities in order to generate design documents.QualificationsQ clearance required.Requires a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited university (or equivalent education and engineering experience) plus a minimum 10 years experience in piping engineering design with plant design experience.Additional InformationGEM Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer*For consideration, applicants must apply through the GEM Technologies Careers Page at http://careers.gemtechnologiesinc.com
