Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Pyxis, Alaris IV Pumps, Phillip monitors
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting.
- Perform catheterization, IV insertion, and tube feeding procedures as needed.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor physiological parameters.
- Administer basic life support and respond to emergency situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in airway management and provide specialized care to pediatric patients.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and address patient needs promptly.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
- Stay current with best practices in nursing care and continuously enhance skills through training and education.
