zaas is Hiring an Electronics Engineering Technician Near Richmond, IN

Job Summary:

Maintains electrical/electronic instruments, controls, devices, and miscellaneous test equipment and apparatus. Determines cause and effect of malfunctions or defects in the same. Diagnoses and remedies electrical/electronic troubles. Calibrates, repairs, and replaces apparatus or components. Installs wiring in control panels and may build or program electric/electronic systems for production equipment. May prepare and install conduit or seal tight for the completion of assigned projects.

You will make an impact in the following way:

May remove or install electric motors or other electrical circuits, wiring, equipment and devices required in the repair or installation of equipment.
Must have a good working knowledge of and will use in his/her work: electrical/electronic test equipment, soldering gun, soldering iron, and miscellaneous small hand and power tools.
May install and work with power distribution panels. Must have a general knowledge of industrial type controls and a working knowledge of simple closed-loop control systems, semiconductor systems, and programmable logic controllers.
Must understand the operation of separate controls and their relationship when operated as a part of a synchronized multi-control system.
Must be able to modify circuits or make changes where necessary and be capable of assembling electrical/electronic equipment following blueprints or drawings.
Performs work on job site or in central repair area.
Must work from wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions.
Completes projects with little or no direction from others. Assists with preventive maintenance inspection and service.
Complies with all prescribed safety regulations
Most hand tools and equipment used by technicians (except test equipment) must be furnished by the employee.
Sets up and runs various auxiliary equipment as required.
High degree of responsibility. Responsible for maintaining sensitive and costly testing and manufacturing equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspection on all types of electronic equipment and controls.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

Education – Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have completed at least two years of technical training in electronics in a recognized electronics trade school plus two years electronic-technician experience, completed a 4-year electronic technician apprenticeship program or a minimum of 10 years of related electronics manufacturing maintenance experience.
Markets – The maintenance technician classification consists of multi-skilled work in the skilled trades of pipefitting, electrical, mechanical and machining
