HIM Tech Specialist 2-7414-4453Clinch Valley Medical Center
Description
Responsible for processing and analyzing discharged medical records; Scanning / Archiving medical records; and performing Release of Information Services (ROI).
The employee will be responsible for performing analysis for record deficiencies within 48 hours of the patient’s discharge.
The employee will be responsible for performing Vital Statistics functions for the Commonwealth of Virginia according to policy and procedure for birth certificates, fetal death certificates and submission of data and reports as requested or required.
Vital Statistics functions also include Commonwealth of Virginia sponsored paternity program participation.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma. Experience : A background in clerical work. Requires at least one year experience in similar role in acute care hospital or physician office practice.
Special Qualifications : Must have typing, clerical and computer skills. Works independently, proactively prioritizes assignments and possesses a keen ability to multi-task.
