Responsibilities

Work Schedule:Work schedule shall be 0730-1630 Monday-Friday to include a one-hour uncompensated meal break.

Core Duties: The duties include, but are not limited to the following;

• Provide full spectrum of occupational rehabilitative services under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.• Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.• Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions.• Identify, recommend, and fabricate, as needed, complex adaptive and assistive devices, durable medical equipment, and complex dynamic splinting, after consultation with the occupational therapist.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:* Education:Associate degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant. Graduate from a college or university accredited at the time of graduation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

* Experience: One year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant after graduation.* Certification: Certified in occupational therapy through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

* Licensure: Current, unrestricted license in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. * Life Support Certification: Possess and maintain a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification. * Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
