Job Description

Goliath, an international manufacturer and distributor of toys and games, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of Operations to join our team in our Richardson, TX, office. Operating in 15 countries and reaching over 100 countries worldwide, we are dedicated to bringing fun to every household through our innovative and high-quality products.

Goliath made a major shift in the company's direction this year by evolving from primarily a game company to a significant player in the broader toy industry. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue and maximizing efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities

3PL Warehouse Management

· Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.

· Develop and implement warehouse management strategies to optimize inventory levels, and order fulfillment.

· Continuously monitor and improve warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

· Organize and Manage 3PL Inventory Audits and cycle counts

Order Management

· Oversee the order management team and processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

· Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and operations teams to streamline processes and resolve any order-related issues.

· Work with the S&OP team to ensure promotional pallets/assemblies are fulfilled on time, within customer specifications, and at maximum gross margin.

· Implement and maintain an effective order tracking system to monitor order status and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve order fulfillment and reduce lead times.

Logistics

· Manage the logistics team to ensure effective contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.

· Continuously monitor and improve both domestic and import shipping to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Office Management

· Oversee the Office Manager to ensure all supplies are procured on time and in a cost-effective manner.

· Work with the property management company for any repairs and necessary maintenance.

· Support any sub-tenant requests

· Oversee all space modification

Team Leadership

· Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth and development.

· Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.

Cross Training and Manual Development

· Facilitate cross-training initiatives within the operations team to enhance team members' skills and flexibility.

· Develop comprehensive training manuals and resources to assist in training new operations team members.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

· Education: BA, BS, MBA or equivalent experience.

· 10 Years of operations experience (wholesale / retail experience is a plus)

· 10 Years of logistics experience – both domestic and imports

· 10 Years of warehouse management experience

· Exceptional communication - including writing skills

· Experience with MS Dynamics BC and/or Jet Reporting is a plus

· Advanced MS Excel skills preferred

· Ability to provide steady guidance and leadership under tight deadlines
