Description

Brillient is seeking an IT Program Manager for a contingent opportunity based out of our Reston, VA headquarters (contingent upon award from our Government customer). Under indirect supervision, oversees a set of leading-edge mission critical programs for Brillient in both the Federal and Commercial. Direct responsibility for value-based growth within the customer base, advancing meaningful innovations, and achieving customer mission and program delivery alignment. Work will be a mix of business and technology strategy, future visioning, and tactical delivery oversight, execution, and assurance. Strong accountability, collaboration, planning, and continuous improvement toward achieving results that exceed Brillient and customer goals is critical for success. 

Job Requirements

To excel in this role, the IT PM needs to have a growth and solution mindset. A successful candidate must be very insightful, hands-on, and capable of both highly methodical problem solving and solution creation as well as abstract thought to identify and envision practical innovations. You will be engaged with a very capable customer base, and, with the help of the company leadership team and your program teams, you must maintain a strong command of the details and current and envisioned state. The mix of programs are multi-disciplined and include Brillient’s SaaS IP solutions, human and system processes, and technology where we are both the implementer and the user and accountable for results, and mission critical data management and analysis. The role requires the command of demand generations business development, organic growth, and capture management. On the delivery side it requires command of project and program management methodologies, excellent leadership and communication skills, calm under pressure and the challenges of being on the edge of innovation, the ability to manage within complex and ambiguous situations. Finally, you must be a self-starter, a decision maker, a collaborator, and a leader. 

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Contribute to an account plan and develop program strategy aligned with company and customer objectives.

2. Establish and nurture strong relationships with senior managers and executives to be seen as a strategic partner and trusted advisor.

3. Acquire a deep understanding of the program and business issues being addressed, and shape, direct and hold accountable the program’s talent as required to serve the customer(s).

4. Proactively demonstrate Brillient’s interest, understanding, and commitment to the client(s) as a valued partner.

5. Foster a very effective relationship with program subcontractors who are key partners and critical for success. 

6. Collaborate with Brillient’s Chief Digital Officer to provide the client(s) with innovation and leading-edge solutions.

7. Understand the complete picture of business processes, material handling, data and technology workflow, and advanced and innovative technology solutions. 

8. Define and implement an effective organizational structure for the account(s), which includes building the right capabilities to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, drive results, and leverages both an on-site and remote workforce.

10. Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and mentoring for the program teams, driving a culture of engagement, high performance, and positive morale.

12. Engage and communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment and gather input.

13. Define, monitor, and manage performance metrics to ensure that the program is on track and meeting goals.

14. Allocate resources, including budget, staff, and materials, to ensure the successful execution of the program.

15. Identify and mitigate risks and issues that could impact the program’s success.

16. Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial activities such as reporting, forecasting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable.

17. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations related to the client(s).

18. Manage all customers so that programs are excellent references, satisfaction measures are strong, and CPARS are exceptional.

19. Partner with Talent Acquisition to create resource requests and select diversified, talented candidates for positions.

20. Partner with the human resource team to build a highly productive and engaged workforce where employees build careers, develop as leaders, and are valued for performance.

21. Ensure timely and accurate implementation of human capital programs for direct reports such as compensation reviews, performance reviews, promotions, recognition, succession planning, communications, and leadership development.

22. Ensure that all Company values, policies, and guidelines are adhered to and practiced by setting the example through personal leaders.
