Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing account receivables, delinquent accounts, generating detailed reports, managing freight claims and resolving customer account discrepancies.
KEY DUTIES:
On a daily basis, researches and inputs cash receipts data into the Great Plains accounting system and verifies by comparison to the bank deposit. Ensures entries are accurate and current for month end closing.
Prepares and verifies deposits and posts cash receipts to accounts receivable
Conducts research of customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
Reviews accounts to identify delinquent accounts.
Contacts delinquent accounts through verbal, written or other methods to request and obtain payment
Responsible for accurate maintenance of physical and digital AR documentation.
Generates special reports and provides AR documentation as needed.
Manages unapplied cash, unclaimed credits, and bad debt
Manages the invoice process and customer statements
Monitors, researches and resolves customer account issues in conjunction with Sales and other departments.
Assists with freight claim processing
Prepares cash bank deposits as necessary
Every employee has a responsibility to report employee safety, food safety and/or quality concerns to their Supervisor/Manager immediately upon identification

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
Two years relevant work experience including experience processing invoices, checks and making and preparing bank deposits
