Job Description
The Staff Pad is seeking a Surveying Manager for our growing client in Reno, Nevada. The Surveying Manager reports to the Vice President of Civil Engineering. It serves strategically as the organizations’ Surveying and final implementation check and operationally as the lead in the field surveying role. The position is responsible for organizational development, policies and development of accuracy in the field of data acquisition and marking.
The Survey Manager, responsible for launching and leading our new Survey Division, will play a pivotal role in our company's growth and expansion. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a strategic thinker,

and an expert in surveying techniques and technologies. You will be responsible for building and

managing a team of surveyors, overseeing projects, and ensuring the division's success within the

civil engineering landscape.

Responsibilities:

● Division Establishment: Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the new Survey

Division, including resource allocation, equipment procurement, and budgeting.

● Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled surveyors, technicians, and support

staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

● Project Management: Oversee all aspects of surveying projects, from initial planning and data

collection to final deliverables. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the

highest quality standards.

● Technology Integration: Implement the latest surveying technologies and methodologies to

enhance efficiency and accuracy in data collection and processing.

● Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for

new projects and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.

● Compliance: Ensure the division complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.

Promote a strong safety culture within the division.

● Financial Management: Monitor divisional financial performance, control costs, and seek

opportunities for revenue growth.

● Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to deliver accurate

and reliable survey data.

● Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to the senior management team, highlighting

divisional performance, challenges, and opportunities.

● Directs a process of organizational development that primarily addresses employee growth and

succession planning throughout the company.
