The Summer Associate – Edgemoor role exposes college and graduate students to the real estate development industry by supporting development of UNR’s College of Business and the Mathewson Gateway District. Responsibilities may include: Make an impact on UNR’s new College of Business and the Mathewson Gateway District Assist development manager and development director with project management and pursuit activities Gain knowledge and experience in design, development, and construction project management Help manage communications with client and internal & external stakeholders Research construction prices, analyze financing costs, and monitor real estate development trends Report on project progress on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis Review and analyze development and construction schedule Analyze and monitor development and construction metrics Oversee construction activities and report on on-site construction activities Basic Qualifications 0-1 year of related experience Current Junior or Senior level college student or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field Demonstrated record of academic achievement and community involvement Genuine interest and passion for real estate development Preferred Qualifications Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and driven by challenge Problem-solver with a hands-on and team-oriented attitude Able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Able to clearly communicate to supervisors, peers, and external partners Exhibit high level of discretion and professionalism Summer Associate Program Overview Edgemoor’s Summer Associate program provides a realistic view of what it’s like to work at Edgemoor through meaningful, hands-on experiences. The Summer Associate program is a full-time program based in Reno, NV that starts in late May or early June and typically runs about 8-10 weeks in length. Summer Associate Range: Clark offers a total compensation package. Benefits could include commuter benefits or fitness reimbursement. Hourly rates will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the hourly rate is $24-30/ hr.
