To learn more visit becu.org/careers. PAY RANGE The Target Pay Range for this position is $178,900.00-$218,400.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $138,800.00 - $258,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE: As the Principal Data Engineer at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in driving our data strategy forward, leveraging complex data management technologies and enabling ML and AI technologies supporting our ODS program. Your contributions will directly impact the quality, integrity, and optimal processing of data, ensuring high availability and high performance for all data consumers within BECU. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you call any of these states home, you're in luck! We offer the flexibility of remote work for residents in these locations, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your own home. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Lead and structure complex enterprise-wide data solutions for analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation, ensuring efficiency and performance. Evaluate and recommend changes to data engineering processes to enhance performance and efficiency. Communicate technical topics to internal and external stakeholders, leading collaborative design and development efforts for high-performing data solutions. Design and implement prototypes, proofs of concept, and scalable data services in a production environment. Manage and improve metadata management and master data policies throughout the enterprise, ensuring expert guidance and frameworks for data engineering teams.
