Our Focus: Stokes Counseling Services provides exceptional therapy services that address the diverse needs of individuals, families, and our communities.  

Hiring for: Clinical Supervisor

Type of role: Full-time 

Location: Remote

Salary: $70,000-$75,000/annually 

Qualifications: Active LCSW or LMFT licensure in Connecticut

(Must be licensed to practice in CT)

What you’ll do:

As a Clinical Supervisor at Stokes Counseling Services, you will be pivotal in guiding and developing a team of therapists within a supportive and collaborative environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a diverse array of mental health programs, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy, making a positive impact across a broad spectrum of mental health needs.

  • Provide direct client care, delivering individual, couples, family, and group therapy to clients 
  • Supervise and mentor provisionally licensed clinicians, ensuring their professional development and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct bi-annual reviews to assess progress and identify areas for growth within the clinical team.
  • Facilitate monthly consultation meetings to encourage collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and skill development among the clinical team.
  • Attend and actively contribute to monthly staff meetings, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Meet with the Clinical Director weekly for supervision, addressing caseload management, professional development, and addressing any challenges.
  • Provide supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians, ensuring the highest ethical and professional standards
  • Sign off on supervision hours and work hours, supporting therapists preparing for licensure exams.
  • Orient new clinicians regarding supervision expectations upon hire.
  • Ensure the prompt completion of intake and termination processes, maintaining accurate records and case files.

What we are looking for:

  • Licensed mental health therapist in the State of Connecticut (LCSW, or LMFT). 
  • Master’s degree in a mental health field with clinical training.
  • One to three years experience managing clinical staff.
  • At least five years of full-time experience in outpatient mental health counseling, preferably with mental health and substance use clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in conducting intake assessments and formulating treatment plans.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to provide and maintain documentation within the appropriate time frames.
  • and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice.
  • Experience with specializations such as TFCBT, EMDR for Trauma, DBT, Eating disorders, and working in an LBGTQIA community is strongly preferred.
  • Must be a resident of CT or one of the following states: NY, NJ, MA, or NC.
