Operations Supervisor
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in Reedsville, PA within the plastics manufacturing industry, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join their team.
Operations Supervisor Job Summary
Shift: Rotating days and nights
Thu, Fri, Sat, every other Sun. dayshift 8 am – 8:15 pm
Wed, Thu, Fri, every other Sat. night shift 8 pm – 8:15 am
Pay: $65K-$100K
- Troubleshoot and adjust molding processes to maintain quality and production standards.
- Manage production floor operations, including mold setups, manpower utilization, and material efficiencies.
- Direct real-time and preventative maintenance on equipment; coordinate with Maintenance Staff.
- Coordinate mold maintenance and repair schedules with the Tooling Team.
- Provide timely communication for shift changes and submit required reports.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available; order additional as needed.
- Ensure fair treatment of employees and provide performance evaluations and feedback.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide ongoing training to employees for continuous improvement.
- Support Quality Management System adherence.
Operations Supervisor Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years processing injection molding experience.
- Three to five years of supervisory or lead experience. Thorough knowledge of safety specifications and procedures.
- Understanding of Quality standards and systems including Statistical Process Control and other quality measurements.
- Standing skills necessary to perform mold changes as required.
- Heavy lifting and heavy limb movements in excess of 40 pounds as much as 4-5 times per hour.
- Spoken communication skills to lead others.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
