Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will be operating a forklift while ensuring efficiency and safety in a production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate sit down forklift to unload, load, and move material, packed product, and other goods.
- Perform pre and post forklift inspections; report any repairs necessary.
- Lift and stack material and product as needed.
- Maintain work area clean and free of any fruit on the floor, leaves, or debris.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Previous forklift experience required
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently throughout the day
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends in a production environment
- Excellent coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily sitting

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a typical fast-paced production environment —high industrial and agricultural equipment traffic, extreme temperatures in an environment exposed to dust, peach fuzz and other natural elements.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, over-time, double-time and holidays throughout the duration of our pack season (May to October); this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.
